The best privilege you and I could ever have

The best privilege you and I could ever have

is to have parents, who teensy bit understand but fully support your vision.

For starters, my mom calls LinkedIn “Linkenday,” and you bet it is Linkenday for me now.

I always keep on telling her:

Mom I got 500 followers

Mom I got 700 followers

Mom I got 900 followers

Mom I got 1000 followers

Mom I got 1300 followers
Mom I got 1500 followers
Mom I got 1800 followers

And my mom asks me, “How much money do you get from it?”

I’m like, “Good question.”

And then I explain to her every time that, “Mumma, it doesn’t work that way but I can earn through it like I did in my freelance project.”

She is like, “Okay, okay, I understand.”

And I show her my copywriting projects, and she is like, “What you wrote is on Instagram, woahhhhh.”

I always giggle at her astonishment.

And then there’s my dad,

My dad always asks me, “Why are you surfing images (Pinterest) while working?”

“I am looking for inspo, dad.”

“Okay,” then I showed him what I do, and he said, “Looks interesting.”

On weekends when I am on my laptop and they go, “Oh, you are doing LinkedIn.”

I am like, “Yes.”

They say, “Aren’t you too passionate for this?”

I say, “I have to be; I want to create something of my own, and hopefully to make money out of it.”

My mom goes, “You will.”

My mom and dad are so cute, guys.

I never knew this privilege would bring me so much happiness and support.

I believe we all have parents who have this blind faith and confidence in us that we don’t have.

So whenever you feel you are out of sync or you can’t do it.

Talk to them, and you will have your confidence back.

That’s it for today.

Toodaloo.
